As of 1 January 2021, the United Kingdom will no longer be a member of the European Union. In this blog, we explain for each plug-in what to do or to update your plug-in so that you are prepared for Brexit. For a detailed explanation about Brexit and the consequences for your webshop, go to our Brexit blog.

Mijnwebwinkel

If you use the Mijnwebwinkel plug-in and have linked your webshop to MyParcel, you will no longer be able to create shipping labels for shipments to the UK from your own back office after Brexit. Of course, you will still be able to use the MyParcel back office for this.

WooCommerce

If you use WooCommerce, you need to install the latest version of the plug-in. At MyParcel, we make sure the data is configured. Remember that for shipments to the UK, no standard Europe label will be issued (A6-size) after Brexit. For shipments to the UK, extended A4-size shipping labels will be generated with a Commercial Invoice, CN23 and CP71.

Magento

Magento 1 is no longer supported. No more updates will be performed before Brexit.

Magento 2

If you use Magento 2, you need to install the latest version of the plug-in. At MyParcel, we make sure the data is configured. Remember that for shipments to the UK, no standard Europe label will be issued (A6-size) when Brexit takes effect. For shipments to the UK, extended A4-size shipping labels will be generated with a Commercial Invoice, CN23 and CP71.

Lightspeed

If you use the Lightspeed plug-in, you do not need to perform any updates. The change will be implemented automatically.

CCVshop

If you use CCVshop and have linked your webshop to MyParcel, you will no longer be able to create shipping labels for shipments to the UK from your own back office after Brexit. Of course, you will still be able to use the MyParcel back office for this.

OpenCart 1, 2, 2.3 & 3.0

There will be no update for these versions of OpenCart. If you use OpenCart and have linked your webshop to MyParcel, you will no longer be able to create shipping labels for shipments to the UK from your own back office after Brexit. Of course, you will still be able to use the MyParcel back office for this.

PrestaShop

A plug-in update is being developed. When using the PrestaShop plug-in, the latest update needs to be installed in order to create shipments to the UK. The update will not be available as of 1 January 2021. Until the update is available, you will need to manually create shipments to the UK through the back office.

Google Chrome extension (BigCommerce & OScommerce)

The Google Chrome extension will work in the same way for creating world shipments as of 1 January 2021. From that date, you will still need to complete customs forms for the shipments in question manually in the back office.

Gratiswebshopbeginnen.nl

If you use Gratiswebshopbeginnen.nl and have linked your webshop to MyParcel, you will not be able to create shipping labels for shipments to the UK from your own back office after Brexit. Of course, you will still be able to use the MyParcel back office for this.

Picqer

If you use the Picqer plug-in for your webshop, Brexit will have a minimal impact on your webshop’s link with MyParcel. Picqer will ensure that you can continue shipping to the UK.

Sherpaan

Shopify

Shoppagina

If you use the Shoppagina plug-in, Brexit will have a minimal impact on your webshop’s link with MyParcel. Shoppagina.nl will ensure that the UK is treated as a World shipment once Brexit takes effect. Remember that for shipments to the UK, no standard Europe label will be issued (A6-size) when Brexit takes effect. For shipments to the UK, extended A4-size shipping labels will be generated with a Commercial Invoice, CN23 and CP71.

Bol.com Plaza

With the Bol.com Plaza plug-in, you cannot create shipping labels for shipments to countries outside of the Benelux, meaning you also cannot create shipping labels for shipments to the UK.

Exact

If you use Exact, you will not be able to create shipping labels for shipments to the UK once Brexit takes effect.

Self-builders

If you built your own link based on the API, it is important that you adjust the call for shipments to the UK from now on. You will then need to create shipments through the API using a ‘call for a world shipment’ (see ‘Create international shipment’). This is otherwise an EU country and in order to continue to support the UK, the call for shipment needs to be adjusted. For questions about the implementation, you can contact IT Support by telephone on 023 30 30 315 or by email at support@myparcel.nl.
