What are the rules regarding VAT, import duties and customs clearance charges for shipments to the UK?
As you will need to pay VAT to the UK tax authorities from now on, you will need to register with them. This applies to shipments you send to consumers in the UK with a value lower than £135.
In addition to VAT, shipments with a value over £135 may also be subject to import duties and customs clearance charges. The process for paying tax is slightly different for shipments worth more than £135; the recipient pays all taxes (VAT and any import duties and customs clearance charges) to our delivery partner in the UK.
Please note: If you only sell B2B to the UK and your customer has a VAT number, you do not need to register.
