Why is a GoGreen surcharge applied to my DHL shipment?
The GoGreen surcharge is calculated by DHL with the aim of reducing all logistics-related CO2 emissions to zero by 2050. This surcharge has already been applied to each package, but starting January 1, 2024, DHL's shipping rates will be displayed differently. From then on, the GoGreen surcharge and fuel surcharge will be separately displayed when you create a shipment and on your invoice. This way, you can see exactly how the total price of a shipment is composed.
Also, refer to our handout for the 2024 rates, and our surcharge handout .
