What happens to my DPD package if the recipient is not at home?

DPD consumer delivery:
Two delivery attempts are made. If both attempts fail, DPD may choose to deliver the package to a neighbor before it goes to a DPD Parcel shop. The package will stay there for a few days and can be picked up before it is returned to the sender.

If it's a letterbox parcel, one delivery attempt will be made before it is taken to a DPD Parcel shop. It will stay there for a few days and can be picked up before it is returned.

DPD business delivery:
Three delivery attempts are made, two of which are consecutive. This means that the second attempt may occur at a different time or the next day. If the package cannot be delivered on the second attempt, it will be taken to a DPD Parcel shop where it will wait for further instructions for about 5 days. The sender will be contacted, and another delivery day will be arranged. If this fails, the package will be returned.

DPD to pickup location:
If the package is not picked up at the DPD Parcel shop, it will be returned to the sender.

DPD return shipment:
Two delivery attempts are made before the package is sent to a DPD Parcel shop. It will stay there for 5 days and can be picked up before it is returned.

Please always add the recipient's phone number and email address so that local contact can be made.
