What are the maximum dimensions of a package?
That varies depending on the carrier and type of delivery (consumer or business, for example). We've listed them for you by carrier.
PostNL
You can send a package with maximum dimensions of 100 x 70 x 58cm and a maximum weight of 23 kg to countries within the European Union. For an XL surcharge of €4.95, the package can have dimensions of 175 x 78 x 58 cm and a weight between 23 and 30 kg. This option is called 'Large package,' and you can select it under 'Shipping options' when creating a new shipment.
DHL
The maximum dimensions you can send via DHL vary by network.
DHL for you: 120 x 60 x 60 cm DHL For you today: 80 x 60 x 50 cm DHL Europlus: 120 x 60 x 50 cm
If you send with DHL For You, DHL Europlus, or Parcel Connect, a package can weigh up to 31.5 kg. However, a surcharge of €4.75 is applied for weights between 23 and 31.5 kg.
DPD
When you send with DPD to a residential address, the dimensions are:
Parcel shipment when dropped off at a DPD Parcel shop: length or diagonal measured up to 100 cm and up to 20 kg.
Parcel shipment if you use a collection service: length or diagonal measured up to 175 cm and up to 31.5 kg.
When you send with DPD to a business address, the dimensions are:
Parcel shipment when dropped off at a DPD Parcel shop: length or diagonal measured from 23 x 16 cm to 100 cm and up to 20 kg.
Parcel shipment if you use a collection service: length or diagonal measured from 23 x 16 cm to 175 cm and up to 31.5 kg.
For all packages longer than 130 cm on the longest side, a surcharge is applied.
When you send a return shipment with DPD, the dimensions are:
