How is the volume surcharge calculated?

The surcharge is calculated based on the space the package occupies during the delivery process.

< 50 dm3: No surcharge
> 50 dm3 - 100 dm3: €0.75
> 100 dm3 - 200 dm3: €2.50
> 200 dm3: €5.95

Example calculation for a standard moving box:
Dimensions: 48 x 32.5 x 32 cm

To calculate the volume in dm3, divide the number of cm by 10. See example below.

Volume: 4.8 x 3.25 x 3.2 dm = 49.9 dm3
49.9 dm3 is less than 50 dm3: 49.9 dm3 < 50 dm3
No surcharge will be applied. Only the base rate applies to this package shipment.
