How do I create a shipment with DPD?
You can create a DPD shipment via the back office, just like you would create a shipment normally, but this time you choose the carrier DPD. You can send to residential and business addresses within the Netherlands and Europe via DPD.
Consumer delivery
With DPD, it is possible to send packages and letterbox parcels to residential addresses. You can send packages within Europe and letterbox parcels within the Netherlands. Package deliveries take place from Monday to Friday between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm.
Business delivery
You can also send your packages to business addresses via DPD. Package deliveries take place from Monday to Friday during office hours. It is also possible to have your shipment delivered on Saturday with the shipping option 'Saturday delivery'.
Delivery to a pickup location
Choose this delivery option for a DPD shop delivery. You drop off your packages at a DPD location near you and have them delivered to a DPD shop near your customer. From Monday to Saturday, it is possible to drop off or pick up packages at one of the more than 1,500 DPD locations. This network is suitable for consumer delivery within the Netherlands, Belgium, and most European countries, except for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Northern Ireland, Iceland, Monaco, Norway, and the United Kingdom.
A return shipment
You can also easily create a return shipment, which the consumer will drop off at a DPD parcel shop. This shipment is delivered to a residential address or can be picked up at a DPD Parcel shop within the Netherlands, Belgium, and most European countries. From Monday to Saturday, it is possible to drop off or pick up packages at one of the more than 1,500 DPD locations.
