Is my parcel with a destination in the Netherlands automatically insured?
When you send parcels with PostNL or DHL within the Netherlands, they are not automatically insured. However, it is possible to insure your shipments against various purchase values. You can select the insured option when creating a shipment under the shipping options. Click here for more information about PostNL insurance.
If you are using DPD for shipping, your parcels are automatically insured unless they are excluded from the service. You can find the excluded items in DPD's terms and conditions from point 5.2 onwards.
