How much does it cost to send a parcel with insurance?

Domestic shipments.
Adding insurance to parcel shipments is only an option for shipments sent within the Netherlands. Depending on the (purchase) value of the contents of the parcel, you can select the amount for which you want to insure your parcel. A summary of the various prices is available on this page. Insurance is not available for other types of shipments sent within the Netherlands.

International shipments.
From 1 January 2023 onwards, PostNL will offer a wider range of shipping options for European and World shipments. For a small fee, your customer can select the 'Insured' or 'Insured Plus' shipping option for more certainty regarding their shipments. You can find more information in this handout.
