Why is a fuel surcharge applied to my DHL shipment?
The fuel surcharge is a fee for the fuel DHL uses for parcel delivery. This surcharge has already been applied to each package, but starting January 1, 2024, DHL's shipping rates will be displayed differently. From then on, the fuel surcharge and GoGreen surcharge will be shown separately. This provides a clear breakdown of the total price of a shipment. The fuel surcharge varies each month. Refer to the surcharge handout for the most current update on these rates.
Also, refer to our rate handout for 2024.
